The Making of Collection 1.
Paris has a way of making you fall in love when you're not looking. Earlier this year, I arrived in the city to source fabrics for my bridal brands and unexpectedly found the beginnings of a new collection.
I visited a vendor carrying the most charming fabrics and ended up staying over an hour, completely captivated. What started as a routine sourcing appointment quickly became something much more inspiring.

In April, the fabrics arrived at my studio in Vancouver and I immediately took them home to start cutting patterns. Within days, my mother, Merely, and I made the first prototype – in the same apartment where I started my first brand in 2013. What started as a side project quickly became a family affair, with my little sister helping to cut and iron patterns while my mother and I sewed.

Coming from a bridal background, I care deeply about making these pieces feel special – not just visually, but in the way they're made and worn. We simplified where we could, but I couldn't let go of the thoughtful construction and details that make a dress feel beautiful on the body and lasting in your closet.
The collection consists of four styles, each named after a meaningful place in France that left a lasting impression on my travels. Inspired by carefree summer days, vintage femininity, and the kind of dresses I could never quite find for myself, this collection feels deeply personal from start to finish.
Honfleur
is named after a small harbour town in Normandy that I visited years ago. It's one of the prettiest places I've ever seen, known for inspiring artists like Claude Monet. Romantic and timeless, the dress captures the charm of the seaside evenings and cobblestone streets. The kind of liveliness that makes you want to stay longer than planned.

Arles
takes me back to a solo trip through the South of France. Between ancient Roman ruins and an unexpected fashion show set against the nearby Salins d’Aigues-Mortes, the city became one of the most memorable stops of the journey.

Montpellier
honors a visit with an old friend. We'd known each other since kindergarten, and seeing the life she'd built for herself in France felt really special. It's one of those memories that stayed with me long after the trip ended.

Trouville
holds a special place in my heart, named after a coastal town I wandered through on a moody February afternoon. It's also a subtle nod to Truvelle, the brand that started it all. This fabric is actually what inspired the entire collection and the reason Brelle Rosée came to life.

And because I just love the idea of a complete look, I also designed accessories from the extra fabric to go alongside the collection. The dresses are beautiful on their own, but paired with the matching bowties, hair ties, neck scarves and bandanas they feel even more romantic and intentional. Every style is available in sizes 00–40, and for anyone wanting a little more flexibility and romance, each dress can also be made with a lace-up back.

I hope these become the dresses you'd wear on vacation, to dinner with friends, or on a warm summer day and still reach for years later. The ones that end up in your favourite photos and collect memories along the way.
